I order the high capacity 0.68uF 1600VDC rated 942C16P68K-F style capacitors from CDE. These are amazingly durable capacitors. I've run these capacitors on stress tests up to 3X DC rating for several minutes without a single failure. They are quite underrated!

My coil is powered by a 15Kv/60ma. transformer. The LTR recommendation was 10 CDE .15uF caps. With this configuration the coil would run for several seconds but would then burn through the side of the cap next to the bleeder resistor.
Two strings of 19 caps yielded a cap bank that is completely reliable.

The Titanate doorknobs work really well, ...unfortunately they cost me anywhere from $18 - $24 each. For a 12/60 setup you're looking at 9 caps 2000pF @40kvdc, that's pretty pricey. And you know unless you're doing a study on matching your system up perfectly, its not necessary to go to that extreme. I got into it so I could do the analysis and swap them in and out, do the research, and know what results I get, so I don't recommend going the expensive route.
Just to give you an idea of the investment/sacrifice these buggers cost you, the box is ~$3k in caps, its painful, but I wanted answers.

the bleeder resistor is not rated for that hv and is getting hot, arcing and burning through the capacitor insulation so to fix the you should put your resistors about 1/4" above the cap.
