Hi all,

This summer I'm looking into reviving some of my (mostly failed) projects, and am looking for some larger silicon and capacitors.

I already have my picks on ebay, but these are still mostly new and quite expensive parts, far shipping - with my low budget I'd hate to miss the opportunity of someone here clearing his batch. Anyone willing to ship to croatia is in.

I won't be on the forum for about a week from now, and have a SGTC to complete anyway so there's plenty of time ofcourse, up until summer holidays, so this thread can stay for a while.

What I'm looking to:

Large power mosfets, >500V >40A, wishing to build a powerful inverter for continuous wave SSTC drive. Larger devices -> better. like 45N50's or similar.
My proffered package is 'super TO247', but the normal holed version is just OK.
I'm for 10..15 of them.

600V IGBT's, fast, with diodes, >60A: need some reserve for revival of DRSSTC work, as I'm getting depleted. ~10 of them, depending on price.

1200V IGBT's, 1200V fast diodes ~>40A, few of those. I have growing needs for a PFC boost or buck-boost converter, and there are some other things I'd like to try with 1200V devices. That is a long shot though.

Large electrolytic capacitors: Screw terminal, 400V or more and anything more than 2200uF.
I'm in need for good filter caps for a while, and need to see my mosfets exploding violently as other's do!

Anything else you want to get rid off: Junk to throw along into shipment? Just ask.

Just want to see what pops up over a period of time. If nothing, I'll just be ebaying, as I'm already picking there onto majority of these items.

Be back to check this after a week...

Cheers,

Marko

I have 4 spare 450Volt (525Volt surge) 2400uF lytics. How much would you pay for each? there about 3"x5.5" with screw terminals.

Hm, how much do you want for each? :P

If I recall there was someone selling exactly the same caps (over a thousand of them) on ebay for like $0.01.../joule... Most new sales go much higher though, $0.03..$0.05/J at best (there are still those lightly damaged 3900uF 400V caps selling).

It's all up to you sir, I can only accept or refuse! :p

Biggest problem for me is usually high shipping prices I get from US. I would like to know your location first if possible!

Thanks,

Marko

Wow, I would almost think it's some kind of joke or something - anyone ordered from there?

Are they so cheap because they're discontinued parts?

Not quite as cheap, but still a good deal

3900uF 400v
I bought 12 of them last year when they were 5.95 each. They work, I don't see anything wrong with mine, i think my 70-some dollars (12 caps +shipping) was well spent.

looks like a typo to me,
36D
552 : 5500uf
025 : 25V which is consistence with the 30C surge

The case code "AB" also means the dim is 1.45D x 3.25L and weight 105grams,
which is consistence with terminal spacing of only 0.5.

Yes, it is definitely a typo, and not only that, it appears that many other of their capacitors are messed up like that. Note that specified length of the cap is just 1.37 inches!
This is what looks more right:

At least I know one more seller I should avoid.

Looks good indeed, though I'd probably like 450V version more. Now it depends on how much would they take to ship to Croatia.

I won't be buying any caps for some time from now anyway so I'm still open for offers of course!

Marko.
