This recent headline is from a town very near me in Washington (State), so I was obliged to share:

http://www.islandguardian.com/archives/00001878.html

Well! <pausing to compose self> At least he didn't die, because if he'd died, I'd have a harder time laughing at his idiocy. Rubber dishwashing gloves and a metal-handled pole saw?!

Cheers,
Aaron, N7OE

While we are laughing can we include these blokes' names in the joke?
"The incident has been reported to the FBI, and Sheriff Bill Cumming said County Prosecutor Randy Gaylord will determine what, if any, charges may be pending, "
Also, does this mean the FBI will outlaw the possesion of rubber gloves as "terrorist equipment"?

Wow, I never expected the non-HV-related part of that to take off so well wink

If only this happened to all the save the *whatever* freaks. This just goes to show how freaking stupid these people are.

Its like the "Lets burn down this lab to save some rats from testing" people, okey you do they testing in place of the rats. Gets me.

Its really too bad something like this had to someone who's intentions were actually good, in a twisted sort of way, as opposed to people who get killed thinking they're stealing copper (when the wires are actually Al).

Already an Honorable Mention Darwin, serves him right.

Someone needs to start a "Save the Eco-terrorists" movement, they are failing to adapt to modern society and dying off in large numbers. Setting that housing development on fire to prevent green house gases was another pretty dumb one too, the amount of carbon dioxide formed from that fire must have been massive.

I'm fairly sure you've mostly hard about "environmentalists" who have such low educational levels that they attempt to "BAN WATER"
Link2

But the truly sad thing is that since such stupidity exists, important issues such as alternative energy sources, etc become exploitive scams and frauds instead of legitimate concerns.
We are facing economic disaster with the raising prices of fuel & energy & the abject stupidly of these folks diminishes the impact of that "voice crying in the wilderness" (regarding legitimate concerns).

Damn these idiots!

Examples of this type of stupidity is not only found on the political left.

The type of non-thinking, knee-jerk, "go with the crowd" behaviour is a slap in the face to many people who are really trying to make the world a better place.

It is "crowd mentality": "I'm with like-minded people, so I can switch my brain off now!"

Time to sleep............
