Rs electronics can get that part from cde and i may go with that but what do you think of 940C10P33K-F Link2 seems to have very similar ratings and i can get it less expensive.

I also looked abit into the differences of the 942C20P15K-F / 940C20P15K-F, and it seems the peak voltage and current are about 300% / 50% higher on 942.

EDIT: thanks Aaron for correction.

I also looked abit into the differences of the 940 and 942 series, and it seems to be the peak voltage and current are about 25% higher on 942.

please anyone add to this if i missed anything

Eh? 25%? Go to Link2 and check out those docs again! In particular, compare everybody's favorite 942C20P15K with the 940C20P15K. The dv/dt and peak current of the 942 are 300% better, and the RMS current is more than 50% better. Yes indeed! The 942's are not just a little better, they're HUGELY better.

Cheers,
Aaron, N7OE
