Will these capacitors work well because they are in stock and i need to start making the mmc? Link2

We usually go for caps that are rated for at least 1500VDC.

well seeing that they are rated for 500vac i would need a couple more and the extra capacitence that these capacitors have should fill in for that.

There was an awesome offer on ebay: Link2
Sadly I missed them, regardless I waited offer like this for months.

Seems like that I must also invoke CJE and such other caps for very salty price. Can I order about 50-100pcs of CDE 2kV 0.15µF somewhere cheaper than ebay? Some people have ordered directly from place x.

i want to hear some discussion about rolled caps.
oil soaked paper is supposedly unbeatable where V breakdown is concerned. and it has a fairly high k

Do not use CJE... they don't work for tesla coils. It worked great for about 10 minutes but died.

Well if this is going to be powered by your pole pig I might start thinking about something more like these: Link2 of course if you cant aford the CDE ones then I guess you might be out of luck with these, since youll need at least 3 to get close to the .1 that you indicate you want.

No. For goodness' sake, just go with the CDE 942's! I've blown up these Maxwell 37667's before, and if any of you have done any reading on TCML you'll know that they're scarcely recommended there either. The voltage reversal characteristics are awful. You really want almost 2x Vpeak with these, which makes them non-economical.

Cheers,
Aaron, N7OE

I have decided that i am just going to buy 50 942C16P33K cde caps and im going to ask my parents if they will help me with the cost somewhat so i can get on with making a high quality mmc that i know that will be reliable. Also im not going to use my pig for this coil because i have a quad mot bank that puts out around 9kv at 4.8kw
