I guess I could actually start trying to organize a Texas Teslathon as I have a weekend off finally. I'll start shooting some emails out.
Don't go overboard with your SGTC just yet. You know how slow us Texans can be sometimes.
Try those Party cup capacitors I showed ya, they are my old go to when I need some "experiment" caps. That way if I blow those up, I haven't blown up a bunch of my cash as well.
I'm building Dan's Minibrute atm. Once I get that built I'll be back to 3 coils. I blew up my SSTC last weekend goofing around with it and looks like I've scorched the board up pretty good. I'll have to remake another PCB for it. And rather than fooling with that I think I'll just buy up a couple of Dan's Plasmasonic boards and build those after the DRSSTC.

Yes that would be cool
So..Anyone else live anywhere around here? If so i would like to purchase any high voltage capacitors. I have some coming on the way and i will buy some that ultra7 suggested but the more the better!

Another great way of getting HV capacitors is to make them using old windows. Plate glass has a nice dielectric constant of around 3.7 and a dielectric strength at about 8kv/mm. Just find the thickness as best you can using whatever measuring tool is available (though a caliper is nice) and then use this calculation to find the capacitance: C=kEA/d, where C is capacitance, k is the dielectric constant, A is the area of one plate, and d is the distance between the plates (or the thickness of the dielectric). My glass cabinet door (minus hardware) 800 pF 26KV cap works very well for driving my first Tesla coil. Basically all the parts of my TC were recycled from other uses like this to make one of the cheapest ways of getting into the hobby.

Yes, i have one glass capacitor that uses a piece of glass from a scanner. I just need some more glass.

Sorry about being slightly off topic. Lets get back on topic, shall we? Does anyone who lives in texas want to trade? I have some HOTs and other components. I also have some vacuum tubes that may be good for a first vttc or an amp. I know this may sound like it should be in trade, but I am just trying to get people to speak up.
