where is no generator for start oscillations ,probably current transformer with his cap generate small signals, which and start oscillating my circuit (74HC14 is generator, just need resistance on first and second leg, but i believe where is big resistance, so it's simple generator, low frequency) if need, i can show, who start oscillations wink

I think I got the idea, but a schematic would help:) Back in ~03' I had a similar coil running at about 7kw and arcing about 36". I haven't seen any really high power SSTCs since (ecept Steve W's 5kw PLL coil)...

Hi guys
7kw - isn't that 7kVA. What FETs/IGBTs did you use for such high power levels? What were the dimensions of the secondary?
Linas - Good work smile

Yep, 7KW. I actually tested the bridge into a 10KW load but I could never push that much power into a coil.

Here is the page I had up about the system: Link2

I will see if I can dig up any pics or video for you guys...

BTW I did end up running this coil with base current feedback at the same power level. It ran ok until I pulled an arc to ground, which killed the bridge. It became too expensive to continue researching that project, especially with the advent of DRSSTCs.
