I found this movie buried in my computer frm like a year ago. I gotgot the setup, but I think the fllyback had about a .5" in diameter core, and I was using a zvs driver w/a 4 turn primary and 60v in... I think the top electroded were a little over 4" apart shades

Here's my small DC flyback, generating about 50kV (respectable for its size). One thing I noticed with HV DC: the flyback seems to charge up everything around (including me; I get nasty shocks from grounded on/off switch on my driver), and the negative electrode glows even 30cm suprised away from the output.

Wow, those must be some nasty flybacks that they take 750W each with just slight heating suprised

I've used the IR2153 IC before with great success.

What would be the maximum working frequency for IR2153 ?

Oh, I looked in the datasheet, seems to work to 1 MHz. Cool!
