I found this movie buried in my computer frm like a year ago. I gotgot the setup, but I think the fllyback had about a .5" in diameter core, and I was using a zvs driver w/a 4 turn primary and 60v in... The thread lives again!
Here's my small DC flyback, generating about 50kV (respectable for its size). One thing I noticed with HV DC: the flyback seems to charge up everything around (including me; I get nasty shocks from grounded on/off switch on my driver), and the negative electrode glows even 30cm away from the output.
