Absolutely. This has been done already quite extensively both with "standard" SSTCs and DRSSTCs. I believe Adam Horden actually made up IGBT boards that used smaller paralleled IGBTs to work instead of a single larger IGBT and was selling them over in the UK.
Paralleled primaries is also nothing new and has been done extensively. I myself, with some recommendations and ideas from David Sharpe, have experimented with multiple primaries for high power DRSSTC work. Depending on how you synchronize them, it works fairly well. I've also worked on some ideas where you have multiple bridges magnetically coupling into a single turn primary (much like they do in large induction heaters) for DRSSTC work. This again, was based on an original idea by Dave Sharpe.
I'm actually working on a new DRSSTC publication which basically features advance DRSSTC implementations complete with a universal MIDI controller design (requested by popular demand), and several "stranger" primary configurations including some work i've done on a synchronized quad primary design which I did for a client of mine. Stay tuned . . . this book is still a bit under wraps, so i'm not going to say much more until its released at the end of this year.
