im sure the aero at >mach1 also have something to do with the strange looking smoke/fire trail.

Dago, I did say perfect a high temperature superconductor.

And anyway, I just rewatched the video, and I noticed that the projectile, before it hits, has a pretty blue glow. Combusting metal? Do metals burn whitish blue?

Also, why is the projectile wrapped in a sabot before being stuffed in? I notice that the sabot has a thin band of metal around it too. Plasma armature?
