Yes, properly the best flyback for first try.
They are easy to connect and figure out the ground pin.
I would recommend try the Mazilli driver, but enough off-topic all this in another thread.

EDIT: Bad grammar.

Heh, I still have half a box full of these!

I'm willing to trade if you have something good. Just send me a PM.

On the one I had, the rubber was very malleable. You could dig your fingernails into it...

Yes, I've opened a few of these and that's how mine were. Definitely not brittle.

Oh and BTW what is that zip-tied piece of high voltage wire it came with for?

Probably some type of a feedback loop or maybe it's used in a sensing circuit to detect core saturation. Sorry, I'm not really sure - just a guess.

Careful with the Mazilli driver, its a very powerful one if you let it go there. I burned one out with that driver running over about 150W. Bu if its for a first time project and you are using the 2N3055 driver or similar (I am NOT recommending that driver-it may be simple but it still sux), then this flyback would be a good choice.

It makes an awesome plasma globe and the step-up ratio is more than good enough to run it off of 12V.

Yeah, I wasn't too sure about which pins were the primary, but I remember mentioning in a private message to another member that pin 9 was the secondary ground. I thought I said something in this thread, but I guess not.

I have 6 more of these left. They're almost all gone! Buy them while I still have some left, because I don't think I'll find anymore.

I've only sold one other since my last post in this thread, so I still have five left. The price is $12.50 now, sorry for the increase, but I need to make some money for a future project I have in mind.

The shipping is still 5 for one, to any US destination, but the shipping price changes with multiple flybacks or overseas/mexico/canada shipping.

The best way to get in touch with me is through email.

I haven't heard from Logan in a month now, nor have I seen my money or flyback. His future project seems to be consuming both funds and ethics.
