Hey all, to answer the question about which TeslaMap value to use... It sounds like you want to go with the static value. But remember that NSTs don't like async gaps. I found a nice, new sync motor online for cheap, but I had to do a lot of searching. I can't remember where I got it. A difference of 1 or 2 nF in your tank gap generally shouldnt make much difference. I wanted to echo what everyone else has said, you really need to be extra careful with the propeller gaps. They need to be very solid and completly enclosed. EastVoltResearch has a really nice design. Very simple and easy to adjust. I'd also replace the propeller rod with a screw. As for the tungsten thickness, the thicher the better.
