Finally I persuaded a friend of mine to bring his camera to make few pictures. We played with different exposition times. There is yellow rose standing on the top capacitor which was later dipped in to NaCl solution for the color effect.

Powered by Ghetto-I Link2, power consumption is around 700W. I hope you like the pics..

Would be great if the other TC users would send similar pictures of shining flowers and plants to make this thread little bit alive!

Cheers Mates

That last one is AMAZING! On another note, what did the rose look like after this? did the arcs burn it up?

The rose was surprisingly fine. They were some small burns on the top blades of the leaves. Later I sprayed little bit of salt water between the shots which prevented the burning of organic material a lot.
I’m sending a detailed picture of how the rose looked after first set of pictures (before the salt experiments) and one detail of salt experiment where you can little bit recognize the amount of damage…

BTW: I’m happy you like it…

Very nice photos Mates.

I'm surprised that your flower was in such good shape after it's ordeal. I'm unable to find the photo of an Easter Bunny sitting on my coil, but the problem that I had taking the photo was that it took about 3 seconds for the camera to focus and take the photo and the bunny would catch fire after only about 1 second.

This photo is of a light bulb on top of a CD-ROM between two beer cans. I had to hurry the photo because the metal in the CD would vaporize and the arc would then burn a hole through the glass of the bulb. Once the CD burned and a hole opened up in the bulb it was just a single thin arc from the lower can to the filament of the bulb.

I like the color of the first picture sparks. I also plan to bring some different salts from the lab this week and use them for another color effects...
