I've been working on a model in Rhino 3.0 for my wifi rover that I'm building. Any advice on how to ad tread to the tires? I couldn't get the bumpmap thing to work.

I'd like to make a better chain as well, but that seemed like a lot of work.

Here are some renderings I made using 3D Studio Max 6.

They are a chair, a robot I built and then modeld in 3D, an electron microscope cells, and my desk lamp (made in Bryce5).

I've done some stuff with Rhinoceros 3D and the Bongo animator for it (just a beta), but wow, some of you guys have amazing stuff, I'm almost embarassed to post. Anyway here's a few of my renders. The actual modelling part is where Rhino really excells, even the Flamingo render plugin is rather poor. There is also a render plugin (Penguin) that renders to look like a drawing, as you can see in some of my renders.

Some renders of my rotary engine concept:

Animations of a two cylinder version of a double-acting two-cycle engine operating from pressurized intake ports. This engine also features rigid connecting rods working the crank directly, rather than the crosshead assembly seen in some large diesel two-strokes.

Those are awesome Chris! By far nothing "embarrasing"

Well I just threw this together yesterday and tried to post just after the site went down.

The links in the chains are a little off but oh well.

I must say, wow~! This stuff is all really great. I used to play around with 3D-rendering a few years ago, but never got back into it. A slightly more finished version of this painting is hanging in the local gallery, though... I may even have a buyer for it. Title is "Catharthesis #12"; medium is acrylic on masonite board.

... I was actually thinking of doing a series of HV based still lifes, once I had time; oil or more likely acrylic on canvas or masonite. Any chances I could unload them on the fine members of this community?
