I don't know if I showed this, but I made this background in povray a year ago.

I have another render of it with checkerboard that I like better but this on better reviews on

I used 3dsmax 7 for the renders. Really cool stuff!
I did render those on my crappy laptop though, it took half a day :P I will do more rendering when I get my new Athlon 64 4000+. Which should do it a bit faster....

For those who don't already know that it is possible to render EAGLE BRD files. I just post a test I have made with this brand new awesome feature.

There are some problems, parts missing, but it was just a quick test

It was actually pretty fun to make. I was still learning how to use the program, especially the scripting. I'd never had a chance to play with trigonometric functions in three axises before, so I just went at it with various transformations, started to see things I liked, decided what I wanted it to look like and made it. It got pretty crazy in some parts, things like ((sin(cos(x)^2)+2tan(xcos(x)))*.2sin(z)^2) ^.5............. I think that contributed nicely, although it may simplify to not such an impressive form.

In other words, the whole thing is an organized accident.

I thought it looked like a fountain at first though...

You guys have some cool stuff... i like Andrew's animation, reminded me of the 'Brick in the Wall' film.

Here is some renders I created with Imagine4.0 running in DOS on an old P166 a few years ago.
