Hi guys - I've promissed I will fire it today and I did And here the sooooooo long waited pics. The ceiling is exactly 96sm from the breakout point ( vertical). The coil is maintaining almost continuous spark with the ceiling at full power (NO STACCATO). The coil is not tuned at all - so I hope to make bigger spark - hmmm but first have to move out of the shop ... I will upload some videos but later (my cammera is rubbish so I will take from a friend )

Do you have any measurement of the power consumption? It would certainly seem to be much more than 4kVA to produce those sparks, unless there is a big hole in my understanding of spark formation for various types of tesla coils. Id estimate the power is more like 8kVA to get those sparks at 50pps.
Hi guys thanks for the positive reply Steve - I am not quite shure about the power but every MOT has 10A fuse on it and they are holding up - soo in the worst case it is about 5kVA.

What are the characteristics of a GMI-7 tube? What is the power dissipation on anode and grid 1 and 2? What you mean 4.4 K bleeding resistor? Is the grid 1 leak resistor?
I am trying to make an idea about these modulator tubes before acting stupid.
