Hi guys

a lot of progress since my last post. New secondary and a new topload are made(thanks Dr. Spark). All of the wireing has been done - the only thing remaining is the feedback winding and to connect the primary and MMC to the high voltage supply and to the anodes of the tubes. Here some pics.

Hi guys

here is the progress - the whole coil is completed (until something blows up afcourse). Special thanks to Dr. Spark.
Also I have new 5kVA variac so I will be able to hit full power - time to beat that 41 inch spark from yesterday.
Also few changes to be made ... and a lot of work on the variac to be done - fuses, meters etc ...
Here the pics

Hi Dr. Spark

I wasn't able to take any pics of the spark because of the wimpy variac I was using - I was afraid to leave it running more than few seconds because I was overating it 3 times - ugggg

Cheers Dr. H.

Just ask a friend to take the pics for you, while you are at the controls (variac).

Hi Vasil

most of my friends are too afraid to stay in the shop when it is running - hee hee

But don't worry - I will have it running again in few days again and I will post pics.

Cheers DR. H.

I think a lot of people are anxious to see the pictures, is it that much of a pain to fire it up and snap some photos or maybe a video (hint) angry

Be patient guys - soon soon shades

Weeeel - I don't like doing things half way, especially when working with such high powers ...

The variac is 50% completed, but I had a small accident (not with the coil) that will delay me one or two days ....

P.S. Always were glasses dead

Cheers Dr. H.

Hi guys

**UPDATE**

The variac is ready. Few changes to be made on the coil and I will fire it up - probably today.
