Interesting that. After a bit of playing I think my Google toolbar is giving me a "personalised" reading. When I approached it from a different direction and a different computer I get results like yours. On my main computer and probably the work one it logs into my account automatically. The thing is that the only personalised info in my account (because I didn't enter anything) is that I am based in the USA by default. So I suspect that it is the USA preference version that I get. On the other hand, when I sign out there are small changes only.

On some rare searches the ranking change when you click refresh. I remember one 4hv related search that jumped to a random position on the page each time I clicked refresh. I assume it had to to with load balancing and that all their servers were not in sync.

It seemed to me like they got your capacitor bank mixed up with your tesla coil a couple times...like in the first segment when they implied that you'd be taking a discharge from the cap bank to your head in a pool.
10kJ or whatever you were discharging it at being sent thru your head would not have been pretty...

They got some of the technical details wrong (but I survived) and also gave me a new daughter and renamed one of my sons. There were a lot of emails to sort out details but mistakes still come through. The question of the accuracy depends on my review of the final narrators version but you would need to see the soundtrack and the video in advanced production which I am sure they would not like to release to anyone. If I was local in Canada, then I could have arranged more input no doubt but it was essentially out of my hands after the video was sent.
In any future show I would need to really have a proper opportunity to correct the content.

just implied? "that's more than x times the energy he used to blow up the can." the flashback scene to the can crusher implied it, but they basically stated it orally!
it must have been scary inside that cage. why didn't you ground it? not that i can question you lordship/highness/better-than-meness or anything, but I'm just curious.

Use the Force, Luke... The cage was grounded or the sparks wouldn't have been quite as hot. For one of the Discovery videos I did mount it so that there would be sparks from the base of the cage across the insulator to ground. Just don't stick your fingers out. Note that like many stunts they are tried at low power with safety checks to see what problems might occur, before higher powers seen here.

Hmm.. just for a new thing to do,instead of exploding steel wool or wires, use your capacitor bank to discharge 16kj into a camera flash bulb. I guess it would be xenon or something like that. Exploded glass everywhere at hundreds of degrees. Call it dangerous all you want but i just call if "fun"!

I doubt if it would be any different. It really depends how bright the emission spectra of copper/iron/aluminium vapor is when mixed with air. Xenon is probably brighter but won't be confined for very long. The flash core would easily envelop the small flash camera tube Sometime I should look at the flash through double welders lenses to see the arc core for its size.

It's kind of interesting how they put an Aussie on Canadian TV, but not Australian TV
They approached me because it fitted the format of their show, I guess. Also fairly different and cheap to produce. I have had offers to appear in local print and TV media but said no. Don't forget that much of what I do is illegal or breaks some electrical/rf/laser/radiation/noise codes. I sort of keep a low profile locally. The Canadian occupational health and safety people aren't about to land on my doorstep.

Ahhh yes, that would be right. If you did happen to have it shown on TV, youd have quite a few people on your doorstep, i know i would be I can see why you want to keep a low profile, i dont like playing with my NST when the whole street can see it. Ive had a few kids that live up the street come down and see what it was, but thats about it. Maybe when i get around to building a TC it will attract more attention (maybe just not from the right people *cough*rf cops*cough* )
