I wouldn't do that at all! Don't post proprietary information. That could be cause for you being terminated or sued, which is no good.

Ask first. You might find there's a blanket policy that says everything is confidential unless it is explicitly not. Many corporations find it simpler to work that way than wade through and decide what's okay to release and what isn't, at the risk of making mistakes.

Congrats on the job, Avalanche! Although I'm not sure if this is so important that it needs to be a sticky. wink

Yes, please be careful about leaking information from your work, they might not be happy if they found out that someone else had stolen their trade secrets. Even seeing the guts of a competitor's product can sometimes give other designers an advantage. You might think you know which parts are commercially sensitive and which aren't, but I wouldn't bet on it :/

BTW, why was it made a sticky? Does anyone mind if I unstick it?

lmao who made it a sticky? It's a big deal to me, but not everyone on the forum surely cheesey

Yeah I agree I'd better not post any pics afterall, I'm gradually calming down now anyway after spending about 3 weeks around the stuff. I'm sure most people can visualise this stuff anyway, big metal cabinets, huge capacitors, bus bars, bricks and all the associated control electronics smile

I had a brief look at how the IGBTs were driven in the larger units, and here is how it's done.

I didn't make it a sticky. While it certainly is good news, I think it can be safely unstuck. I'll do that now.
