Ok, I know this is only an American holiday. So no offence, this is one of my favorite days of the year. Wishing everybody a fun and safe time! Anybody building their own this year? Here's a totally awesome site on the topic. Fusemaking, star compositions, etc. Link2

I thought it was very interesting that "screamers" and "whistlers" are not so by construction but rather it is the type of power put in them that makes noise.

Anyway, have a good 4th everyone, and let's all give a shout to our fighting man, not matter what country you may be in.

Fireworks are banned here in my city, and even the good ones (you know, the ones that explode or shoot stuff) are banned in my state. So, I am planning to break out my little YAG laser to blow some stuff up tongue

Banned in my state too...That wont stop me from driving an hour across the border though wink
I will also run around with uranium in my hand and irradiate things! tongue (j/k)

Perhaps some hairspray and lighters...

I spent 12 hours last night getting my coil prepped for today and first light will be coming soon. The coil has had a makeover and a really hot secondary coil.

Now I just need to dump a wad on hot dogs, hamburgers and fireworks. ^^ oh, and some ear plugs too.

Hehe. FUN DAY!!! My sparkler bombs were really diss-a-pointing. Not even worth posting the video. They shortened my sparklers 3" from last year and upped the price so I had to make them smaller. Totally not worth it anymore.

My homemade bottle rocket magazine was pretty cool though. Internet is too slow to upload the whole thing, so I cropped it. It runs a bit longer than this... See the video: Link2 *.mov 1.89MB

It got even better when we loaded it down with Black Cat Silver Fox bottle rockets, you can see a few in this movie actually, they leave bright sparkles behind. I don't have a vid of that one, but it was 2x longer and 10x better!!! If you make one, get these. The one you see a picture of has cheapo Moon Travelers with a few screamers and we added a dozen silver foxes right before launch.

Anyhow, I tried to get the national anthem to play on my SSTC, (another DRSSTC song Steve W?) but I didn't get the stuff finished in time. =P

See you guys later, I've got to get these chiggers off me!!!!!
