Must have missed this thread while I was overseas on its first go around.

I grew up and went to school 30 miles from Erie. There are no major universities there, no major engineering firms (aside from GE, more on that in a second) and no technology industry to speak of in the area.

I've got a couple friends who work as engineers in various capacities with GE's Locomotive plant in Erie. They've seen the video, but are quick to state that GE will have nothing to do with the guy (they've been approached, apparently?) I'd be curious to know who he's working with.

Incidentally, WKYC hit Duggback with a take down notice and it's no longer available. Funny that several other videos from that station are available from Youtube, Google Videos and the like with no apparently issues. The station is hardly known for its rock solid journalistic integrity. Few of the local cable providers carry them, and I always wrote them off as even more sensational than your average network affiliate.

My Dad is a stringer for several stations in that region, and works for WJET-TV in Erie. I'll see what he's heard about all this. Might be some interesting back stories to the whole thing.

Just one more over unity dumbass. This one just happened to find a journalist stupid enough to take him seriously (not exactly a big challenge there...)

Dave

Cool thing - but touching a thing energized by a MOT with a conductive object is very careless though. I wonder if anyone did such an experiment in more controlled (and safer!) enviroment?

AWLink2 the video got taken down before I could watch. Oh well.

I have a scientific Microwave source with a variac that controls the output up to 100W. I posted that a long time ago for anyone who wanted me to test things with it, but there was no interest. I would have to set up a faraday cage of course, but I think my stainless mesh is small enough for that.

I really hope more people get into pseudoscience stuff, at least then they won't be able to breed. Pseudoscience "Exparamentor" yeesh.
