I read a story on the newspaper not too long ago: Three 15 year old kids managed to get into a big distribution transformer. They managed to short something out and cut power to half of the city. Only one got seriously injured. It's strange how dumb people are often so lucky...
They are blaming the power company cause there was no "Danger, High voltage", sign on the transformer Seriously, who in their right mind goes into a shack that has a bunch of wires and a huge, humming block of metal in it?
Yeah that happend in france prior to the big car BBQ's in Paris. The kid died from his injuries later on, though.

Matt, you are cruel, for God's sake.
I really wouldn't say anyone deserves a horrid and painful death for spraying some graffiti. People will look here and think of us spreading hate and god knows what.
I wouldn't say the guy did that because he was mentally dim or something, he exactly knew what is he doing. Kids want to prove themselves all the time in various manners, wich surely look stupid to us.
Not a small number gets killed daily in similar manners.
And yes, he died yesterday in hospital. His body was obliterated by intense heat and although he apparently survived the shock his chances were poor.

I agree wishing death to someone because of such minor things is extreme. Although I hate taggers to. The removal of shit like "I was here" or so raises my rent.

People can be very stupid around electricity. I have heard a story of someone who tried to hacksaw off one of the big overhead buses on a 275kV substation while the power was on, to sell the copper. He actually climbed up one of those big transformer bushings and his stir fried remains were found clinging to it, by the engineers who came out to find out why half the town just lost power.
To us, the sight of one of those big 6 foot insulators means "extreme lethal voltage that can jump a foot or two and burn you to a crisp instantly" but Joe Public just has no idea of that. When he clambers into a substation he probably doesn't realise it's going to be any worse than getting shocked by a faulty toaster.

People just don't grasp the magnitude of the risk. Hopefully things like You Tube, google video, etc will make people, even the less competent ones, more aware of the this risk. A smart move would have been to play one of those video clips on that news broadcast, although the pants were pretty convincing. This guy got what he asked for but that doesn’t make the injury any less horrific. I think those of you who would wish this upon someone need to spend some time in a burn ward and reconsider.

Firkragg and Aron, I'm being an absolute bastard when I say "justice is served" and the like, and I know it.
What takes a graffiti vandal less than a second, often takes tens of thousands of times as long to undo, once the damage is done. It's despicable... stuffing around with solvents and abrasives and removal goos etc, then coming back to find the removal has eaten into the original paint etc, then trying to find a sample of the original paint colour... if it's still available, if I don't want to buy twenty litres of it, etc, etc, etc. It is a waste of the vandal's time and paint. Removing the effects of the vandal's wasted time and wasted paint is absolutely demoralising. Vandals and thieves (etc) have no idea of the grief they cause.
Bad things happen to good people, too, and they just have to suck it up, because they made a bad choice, or were unlucky (if you believe in luck).
When bad things happen to scum; vandals and thieves, I have no sympathy... especially when it is the byproduct of criminal activity.

I really like you Matt, but please delete this BS and show soem respect to man who just died.
You are scaring me here. You really think a can of paint/solvent and some wasted time is all somebody's life is worth?
