So some kid in Santa Fe NM just about blew himself up trying to tag (spray paint / graffiti) inside a live substation.

115,000 volts later he's lucky to have a leg.

Yeh,,, not to smart. We have had issue in Arizona with people jumped and cutting the razor wire and going into a running substation and ripping all the ground wire out for the copper and aluminum $$$$$. Henry gets a call that there is a ground fault error at 3 a.m. and goes into the station to find all the ground bus ripped out. I wonder if they know how close they came to death. And these are the big 500kv stations. Now there are armed guards to keep the crazy out. Whats next?

Looks like his family jewels were toasted, if we're lucky he won't be able to breed.

A bit harsh. No one deserves their balls toasted off by high voltage
...except perhaps rapists... and definately paedophiles!
But for tagging?

Hey, that could perhaps make good lyrics for a song; however, every time I see the word balls I keep thinking of these @ Link2 and how loud it was to do this @ Link2 . Maybe he needed some of those when he went in. confused

I read a story on the newspaper not too long ago: Three 15 year old kids managed to get into a big distribution transformer. They managed to short something out and cut power to half of the city. Only one got seriously injured. It's strange how dumb people are often so lucky...

They are blaming the power company cause there was no "Danger, High voltage", sign on the transformer ill Seriously, who in their right mind goes into a shack that has a bunch of wires and a huge, humming block of metal in it?

Don't forget the 18' tall fence topped with Razor Wire, NO, they knew they weren't supposed to be in there, which is exactly why they went in.
