Heck, or even tape the two together with the AL tape, it would be kind of a weird trapezoid shape but so far that doesn't seem to effect it from the pics on your site from using the chicken wire.

It only just sits on top of the secondary. Today as I was wheeling the TC back into the garage it hit a bump and the toroid fell onto my head. I didn't know it was coming. Fortunately no damage, to toroid or my head. Would have looked good on video. Sure glad it wasn't a spun aluminium one.
The 2 rolls of aluminium tape probably cost nearly $50. They came out very smooth because the inflation pressure is a bit high.
