That's good news!

I quit my job a while ago. I'm going to get a full time job soonish. House construction stuff, if things go as planned.

I'm an off hours X-Ray tech at a local hospital. I started college for Electrical Engineering but switched giving up on my dream because of the math, I have always been weak at math, and I questioned my ability to deal with the complexities on a daily basis. I have always been fascinated with marine biology and have kept saltwater reef aquariums with my father as a child. This love for biology and high voltage things somehow merged (somewhat) in me choosing Medical Imaging degree, as there is some biology, yet I get to dial in Kilovolts and Miliamps for every picture I take and hear big power supplies humming as I do my work LOL! All in all though I feel I missed my calling, as I LOVE electronics, automobiles, engines, anything electrical or mechanical and deals with science. Unfortunately I get looked down upon in my job by many a Doctor who sees us as mere servants lol.

I just got my job!!!

I'm going to be working for Northrop Grumman as a Test Engineer (I know... glorified meter boy) on Satellites and systems.

I'm not sure how to celebrate right now, I'm still in a bit of shock! But it feels good now that everything is coming together.

sounds fun, at least you get to play with all of the high $$$ toys wink

I started back or Ortel Monday, and so far the only complaint I have heard from my boss is that I am getting things done too fast shades Somewhat coincidentally, I am going to visit one of the 2 colleges that we have shipped our product to tomorrow, and I am actually going to meet that guy who runs it.

I'm not sure which division, all I know is its EI&T instrumentaiton and testing, and I need a security clearance, so it could be either for all I know.

I can't wait to play with their toys. Too bad I can't take pictures of their stuff.

Oh, I guess I should mention that I have a new job as well.

I work for a carpentry contractor, right now we're building a massive 3 million dollar cedar log home with cathedral ceiling. It's insane. The hot tub has a fireplace, the fireplace has a TV, the f*cking barn has a bathroom — complete with shower. It's deep in the woods off the main road, and overlooks a bay. It feels secluded even though it's only a few minutes out of a busy city.

Work right now is slow, because it has been extremely hot and muggy (we had a record high a couple days ago). That and our boss keeps insisting that we realign logs, which is pointless at this stage, as they just come out of alignment and will need to be fixed later. That's kind of annoying, but I'm not too worried. It's just a summer job.

As of 3 months ago I've worked at a company called A2e Technologies. We are a design firm we do electronics hardware and software well mostly firmware. I do most of the bitch work err I mean hand building protos and creating part decals for our various CAD programs. I've had about 3 or 4 different jobs in the last year, I didn't get fired from any of them I've been just getting bored lately. I either go from extremely bored or extremely busy but it's a good job so I guess I'll keep it. cheesey
