Hi all
In case you haven't heard, Colony Collapse Disorder could result in a food crisis of Biblical proportions.

Theories range from the plausible (GM crops causing bee immune systems to collapse) to the bizarre (bees get lost due to imminent solar storm), to the truly insane (bees sensitive to EM interference from mobile phone masts and WiFi)

Discuss.

doesnt really matter what is causing it to people like our family, it just stinks.... i have helped my grandfather run a small bee yard since i was about 5 . we had 32 hives, then the mites came and killed all but two hives then this past year we had grown to 5 hives. through catching swarms and packeged bees. now with ccd we have only one hive left. my bet is the messed up weather though, only in ohio can it be 81deg. on tuesday and half an inch of snow on wensday.

No bees, no crop polination by bees, no fruit & veggies, at the very least we all die of scurvy. dead

That would suck!

Screw the whales, save the Bees!

That weather sounds normal for New England...I remember getting 14 inches of snow one night in April then being on the beach that afternoon (70 deg F)
