Hi All, I have started the build of my RSG. Will be Async at upto 400BPS. Attached is a pic of the motor and the first stationery electrode. Will post more pics as I build Cheers Colin

Lookin' real fancy! In fact, you just made me think of something (besides the fact that I need to know somebody with a metal lathe ): My recent VTTC efforts have won me a bunch of those plate cap heatsinks. They look a lot like those nice fins you've..."lathed"...into your electrodes. The lathe-disinclined among us (like me), might consider those as an alternative for electrode heatsinks. They'll just pop right onto any old metal shaft and look real slick.

Hi Aaron, Thanks for the kind words Yes a slide on heatsink would work really well and that was my first intention. I then got carried away with the turning Next up is the upright posts which I am thinking of some nice flutes machined down the side. Totally unnecessary but fun all the same. Well lazy with the pics and didn't go as complex as I planned but I think they look nice all the same. The insulator is machined from PTFE. Will get the other finished this week and then ready for the disk rotor machining. Hope to have the whole coil finished for the UK Thon in May. Cheers Colin
