This thread is a continuation of the original one on the old forum and is a place for members to post photos of themselves and their interests etc...

Photos of me enjoying astrophotography.
The third photo was a nice that was about 5 degF out with a 20MPH wind. Not the best for astrophotography, but the only clear night after about two months of cloudiness, so i had to take advantage of it. Damn it was cold out!!!

Assuming that's not CGI, how did you make that image?

My guess is that you got it filmed and then merged frames. The other ways I know of making this "stroboscope" effect would overexpose the snow.

I must be mad posting this...

this is a quite an old photo, I must have been 16-17 at the time. Drinking around a bonfire, a regular thing we used to do before we were old enough to go out to the pubs. You can see I like danger, although the contents of the glass I am holding probably have something to do with it...

I wouldn't call cuy delicious. The one I had was like bad fried chicken. I much prefer the preuvian chicken. I was in cuzco mostly before and after the trek. Cusquena beer.....is terrible. Inca cola is damn good. My favorite meal would be the chicken with yucca fries and a liter of inca cola.

Machu Picchu is cool. My wife spent a whole summer there two years ago.
I'm planning on heading down there next year for the next Southern Star Party which is
on Lake Titicaca (sp i know). Looking forward to it since i've never seen any of the southern sky before and i hear the skies are pristine and dark as can be!
