 		I visited HSC on Tuesday to get some power resistors immediately & informally. Was surprised to learn that the store (aka Halted Specialties Company ) is preparing to move this month, after about 25 years at the Ryder location. Fortunately they aren't moving far.

Didn't happen to notice or ask about the mercury relays Adam mentioned. Were they mercury displacement contactors, perhaps more strongly enclosed (less pretty to watch) than the one in this picture from Wikipedia? The type was mentioned earlier in this thread, as being much more hydragyriferrous than tilt switches. I never got around to seeing if mine are truly bounceless.
