I have a monster enclosed array with SIX stacked variacs like these. I think they are arranged as three pairs of two for a three phase application. I would like to sell four of them, but have absolutely no idea how to ship something like this big and heavy. I needed two of these giants paralled to control my pole-pig Tesla coil, but was forced to spend $$$$ for all or get none. I seem to recall some kind if voltage or current "balancer" is installed for coupling or current-sharing or something--anybody know what these 'balancers' are called--I forget.
