Thanks! These were taken with a Canon 20Da and a Canon 15mm/f2.8 lens mounted on a fixed tripod with 30 second exposures.

I went outside at about 2.30 this morning to have a go, because the sky was so clear at that time!

Nothing spectacular, this one shows the 3 stars of Orion's belt. I think there's maybe too much light pollution where I am, this was only a 15 second exposure at f5.6

Cool. We definitely don't get to see that up here, although I am planning an astronomy trip to Peru in the next year or so to do some astrophotography primarily for the Southern objects - plus the center of the milkyway will be directly overhead down there.

Avalanche,

You got more than the 3 stars of Orion's belt. I also see you captured the Great Orion Nebula, M42 in there as well.

Is is a shot i took last year of the circumpolar stars of the North . . .
