While the headline is amusing, i note there is little detail of where the 2200 person sample was drawn from. Could have all been 5 yr olds for all we know.

Please find somewhere else to post your political view, just because you believe one thing doesn't mean you have to bring it hear. I like to see this forum stay politically neutral and scientific.

Thanks

Interesting. While it's mever been conclusively proved that the Earth circles the sun, this theory does pass Occam's (Oakham's) Razor, as it's much more likely than the complicated orbits required for any other explanation.

Also, the Big Bang has likewise not been 'proven'. Other theories like 'oscillating universe theory' are currently in the ascendant, and arguably stand a better chance of passing Occam's Razor than the big bang does.

I hate statistics, what they interviewed 2200 people, when the rest of 300-400million people might be any combination that the 2200 people aren't.
Its like pick one person and who they vote for is what the rest of the country will select. You can't exploated(spell) the results.

A pet peeve

A great part of scientific knowledge is statistical knowledge, Andy.

this particular group of 2200 maybe profoundly ignorant, but to extrapolate out to 1 in 4 Americans as a whole, is a perversion of statistical method.

Does this finally prove that America has been going downhill since 1776? smile
