@Proud Mary - My indoor vise is one that clamps onto your bench, any real vise work I do in the garage on the big over reinforced garage bench. Same with all the heavy power tools. I plan on using a few of -these- for my shelving, and using the plastic drawer things just like you mentioned you did.
I have a Dremel drill stand and drill vice at one end of my indoor bench, but I have a full sized drill press (a cheap and cheerful Chinese one) outside in the shed.
The top on my bench is rather lightweight, so I reinforced the Dremel drill press and vice end with heavy timber underneath to reduce vibration which sets up in the whole (angle-iron) structure when I get to sawing something in the vice.
You've got wooden legs on your great looking table, so you won't have the same needing for damping I guess.

a tempered glass panel to protect your table?
If you intend to do electronics forget the glass top. Odds are you will put heavy chassis and sharp corners on there. Bare woold will be better in the long run. As already mentioned above spring the money for a proper antistatic mat (properly grounded) that will be esd safe and take the abuse of solder and scratches over the years.
For electronics a few power strips with their own a circuit breaker is in order, a is a sturdy shelf for the test equipment at eye level of slightly over.
My experience is to keep drills and mechanical equipment on a separate bench if space permits. The dust generated and space taken on the "proper electronics" bench gets to be an issue.
I have started making the shelving for the table, going to go off my head and what feels right. I went and added the leg supports as suggested, seen here.
Yu can see here how I plan on mounting the monitor (sort of) I am going to have the monitor sit between the two shelves. Underneath those two shelves will sit my test equipment, and on top will sit some parts drawers. There will be shelving on top of those for even more parts drawers. I might get around to drawing a simple sketch of what it might look like, and if I do ill scan it in and upload it. (it's amazing how straight you can get your cuts with a tape measure, level, 2 clamps, and a skill saw)
More work to be done tomorrow ..later today.. when I can actually cut the wood without worrying if I am waking anybody up!
