Hi, Well the basic idea is that instead of having multiple small powerful motors each with their own controller, you have one extremely large free spinning central prop and ducts to control airflow. With more modern tracker technologies and 6DoF feedback the old problems don't apply as any stray gust of wind jsut results in a minimal altitude change not control failure.

Well that might work in the states, but it would be very difficult to get a licence in the UK and people get rather annoyed about shot landing in their garden. If a drone were to crash, it would be nothing to do with me! (suddenly all of the electronics failed and it just hit the ground)
