Overview.

Im planning a tricopter, for academic and research purposes, i also need to keep up on the corporations that are developing all this for different purposes, like Air Cover, UAI and Aerovirionment. For the past 3-4 years ive been building and testing machines of all types. And ive been a watcher of drones since Northrop Grumman lost the fly off competition of the YF23 and YF22 to Lockheed in the early 90's. subsequently Northrop went with the Global hawk, an early adopter and pioneer of this tech back when it wasn't clear drones would ever really amount to anything.

First flight made on 10/27/2013, short hover in ground effect showed the need to move the battery far forward. Gen 2 will have a longer wider nose for this reason. It flew surprisingly well despite the default PIDs, I haven't even tuned them yet, and it still stayed level-ish!

Nice work Patrick I have not abandoned mine yet still trying to find a good steady paying job I am clearly not a security guard or a lube technician HA HA.

Hoping I can take out a student loan when I start ITT for my research.

sorry for the delay in updates, but the fluid flow is still a problem for the duct flow. and I work and have school. I just really need to be sure I have a wise duct, for max flow for the lift fan/duct combination.

I don't know what program to use though...

Its some software, when I tried to use it thought it was difficult to learn, if I remember correctly it could simulator air/magmatic/electric/heat etc in a 3d cad software.
