Just a rough drawing, its a pancake transformer with 3 turns for primary and 3 turns for secondary, with the current going the same direction. The other coil the current goes the other direction, coil two and three are switched at 100khz when three rises the second one falls, and vise verse.

So it basically has a centre-tapped primary, like the Mazilli ZVS circuit?

Three turns for 80H? μH maybe.

Hi Ash Small
Not sure I don't know what that circuit is.
The transformer would probable work, if the center tap is ground and the two ends a positive, driving them at different times would have the effect I'm after, with the over side the inductor.

Hi Proud Mary
(1.2566370614E-006*50000k)(4N*4N)*4A/0.05 = 80H

So, you have a core with 4 square meters of area and a permeability of 50,000. Did you steal it from Area 51? tongue

I'm just grateful THEY can't build aircraft that fly, and keep crashing them into deserts :)

Hi Antonio

How would you work out stray capacitance, the coil will have two turns, 1cm apart, with resistance of 0.0000011ohms, and 25cm High *30cm wide.
You right about not being 100% coupled and the amount of Henerys, the above coil will be 0.1H, with the driver 0.001H

Thanks

EDIT
if I make it 1 turn at 1m3 square ,25cm high its the same H, I'm using the Wikipedia page on capacitance and 0.0025m3 at 1m spacing makes 0.022pF?

Then, so far, what you have is this:

1378125347 3414 FT156520 Centre Tapped Xformer

If you can draw it as a conventional schematic/circuit diagram we'll be able to understand a lot easier what you are trying to do smile

Hi Ash Small

This is the idea, the square wave generators go on when the otheer one is off.

It looks a bit like a magnetic amplifier with load and control windings.
