I have 2 motorized variacs for sale. made by staco 033-6565 120vac 20 amp. motor runs at 12vdc. looks like it could be rated 240 vac by the size of the windings. Came from decomission medical equipment. I am asking 250 dollars each shipped to anywhere in the lower 48 states. about 8 inches across weights about 45 lbs. Items are in NYC.

Oh well... Looks like I've gone and jumped the gun. The units that ctr had plenty of in stock a few months ago have all been sold out on all of their eBay pages. Carry on then, I just didn't want people paying so much extra while they're being sold dirt cheap elsewhere. Sorry.

Don't get me wrong; those are some cool items.
I just think there isn't much interest because you can find regular old 20A variacs for dirt cheap from time to time on Ebay, and people around here don't want to pay a whole lot more for the motor gimmick. I'm sure it had a good purpose in whatever it was part of, but to me, as a hobbyist, it's just something that I'd buy impulsively because it's cool and watch collect dust.
Let me know what curb they'll be on if you end up throwing them out, though! ;)

Ok if you are willing to pick these up. you can come get them. first come first serve. I do expect a small trade though.
What's the hurry? Are you desperate for money, or need to move next week? $25 is a very fair price for those variacs. Lack of bids on ebay could reflect the shipping costs. Also the market is never that lively. Can you live with taking a couple weeks or months to liquidate your variacs? Try Craigslist, or Ebay again.
