Epic fail doesen't even begin to describe this.
Also, one idea I did have a while back was to generate power using DIY bio-diesel, then looked into the chemicals needed and rapidly ditched that idea.

You don't make the news if you bust a guy for breach of peace.
I find it hard to believe that he was saving money by running a gasoline generator instead of using metered power from the hydro company. Any speculations as to why he was doing it (other then just being another loony)?

I imagine his supply was cut off for unpaid bills, either that or he syphoned the fuel from somewhere.
