It is reasonable to assume the coils operate 180° out of phase.

Human body adds lot of capacity to the system.AFAIK 50-100 pF depending on the position.
To compensate for that , coils should be tuned to new Fo in advance.

I don't know the details but Brent Turner surely does.If I remember correctly,resonant freq. of his system dropped from 250 kHz to well below 200 kHz when he body-loaded it...

Was just curious as i don't know the answer. If there any danger to the person in the suit if the arc coming from them hits the primary coil of the Tesla Coil? I would think if that occurred you would be coupled directly to the DC bus of the coil (or mains voltage in the case of spark gap coil) and that the suit may not protect in that case.

It may not be a concern - but just curious.

If the suit is a conductive,chainmail suit ,the person will be protected in that case as well.

Yeah, i guess that makes sense. Since all the current will flow in the low impedance chain mail suit vs. the higher impedance body (for the DC / 60Hz AC)
