Who cares about David Blaine. Was never a fan anyways. tongue

The real feat here is the engineering behind the Tesla Coils. Way to go Steve!!! As an engineer, i can appreciate the difficulty in this especially with the tight schedules and all the oversight i'm sure!

Exactly. I have no care in the world for Dave, might as well be a metal ball for all I care, I like it for the engineering and real test to see how well these coils perform :)

My son, the sarcastic one, believes Blaine has a catheter inserted, and filled up an adult size diaper along the way.

Big respect to Steve for his well engineered hardware having survived 72hrs of commercial interruption.

Congrats Steve, I think that all Blaine did was stand around the work is keeping the teslas going. Is there a record for the longest tesla run? I think is what more impressive is when Chris Angel stepped under a tesla with no suit a few years back.

If I recall he was in full chain mail... And acted like he was in pain and had the EMTs take him to the hospital like he was dying or something... A bit of a shame if you ask me.

Actually Chris Angel did wear a suit, and then faked the electrocution and such. Like David Blaine he did wear a suit.

I think the reason why he went to the hospital is that he was standing for 72 hours straight. He did look mighty swollen. Yeah, his performance was cool, but not a stunt. He should do it again, without the suit.

That's probably enough to put him in the hospital anyway.

If you read Steve's other posts recently, he said that ozone and NOx were managed to OSHA guidelines. They had an air sampling tube at Blaine's face hooked up to an air quality meter, and if it got too bad the power was turned down. Pretty rock'n'roll huh. :(

Steve wanted to push the coils for the finale. I think he put them to 600V bus voltage before they told him to turn it down due to air quality, even though there was only a minute left. It's not like Blaine's the world record holder for holding his breath or anything...
