Far as I know nothing has been reported in terms of issues with the launch. On each there's a number for people to turn into a specific location to enter a contest... I guess it's their way for those motivated to drive around hunting. I could just see them in trees I bet.
The launch was amazing and has similar effect to movies that have done the same exact thing, and TV shows. They fall to earth when the light is out, and there were no trees to fly into while lite,so no fire hazards. I would hate to be going 70mph highway and have one land on my cars antenna though...

There is an argument for a safer burner to be used which encloses the flame in a fireproof casing which seals shut once the flame blows out, ensuring there is no fire risk.

From what I've read, the biggest risk is to cattle and other animals that eat them. It is the wire frame that causes the problems.
They don't land until long after the flame has gone out, so there is no risk of fire unless they are faulty (they could hit a skyscraper if launched in a city, and tear, I suppose).
Adding fire proof casings will just increase the risk to animals, surely?
Replacing the wire frame with something else could remove the risk to livestock.

These things were very very popular in Taiwan.But after they start several wildfire/forest fires(one of them near my home) they were banned or limited to a few special areas.
