Well the S3 is rumoured to be utter dreck, even worse than the S2 or so I've heard.
The quad core Exynos is a bit more stable than the dual core but the battery life is horrible, less than 2/3 that of the Iphone 4S with the same applications running.

And yes it uses the same flawed connector design so expect problem if it gets plugged in every night to charge.
Where the hell is the induction charger they promised?!?!?!?!?

I like Apple stuff. I concede the closed system dogma, but the flip side of it is a well-integrated system that (within its limitations) just works. It can't be customised by the end user, so they have to get it right from the start.

i have HTC One X and i can't be more happier than i am right now, it do what i want, it have best screen, even better then AMOLED, and so on,
Only thing i am waiting is phone with ARM Cortex A15 quad core processor.
i just realised that Apple have quite a profit from dropped or damaged phones because i was unable to kill any of my HTC phones in 4 years, and all phones are working and good condition :D

What I want is a "quad fold" phone.
It has a screen on five sides, so it can be used in "mini" mode or folded out into a 10.1" panel.
Using adaptive optics the gap between the screens can be minimised, with extreme fill panels that overlap a millimetre or so on each edge.

Add-on screens for phones would be handy, so the same panel could be used for several devices using maglocks to secure them.

yes, the problem is, if apple goes down, there will be alot of apple products deamed more or less worthless as not everyone has the stuff avalible to jailbreak them and such, as many people buy them because of the simplicity, i believe jailbreaking isnt so easy to do, as far as i know.. we saw recently when apple servers went down, nobody could access the internet while they were down, i think thats a bit of a issue....

i will agree they are good for simplicity for people who arnt as technologicly inclined

Apple is basically Microsoft++ as far as anti-competitiveness in their worst day goes, days long gone, especially the way they patent stuff they quite clearly haven't really researched but just to try to close doors on competitors who are doing research in the same area is offensive (since this is Apple no one can claim they are being defensive). I can understand the argument that the hardware and software is quite capable and that a single purchase doesn't matter, it's just like a single vote doesn't matter.

I'm glad they slapped down on the ebook mess ... if that wasn't collusion to fix prices I don't know what is.

I've had an HTC for the past few years, because you get 'more phone for your bucks', but I'm thinking of getting an HUAWEI next, as they are the best value for money at the moment.

Both Apple and Samsung are a rip-off.

(Just my $0.02 worth)
