Welcome to the forum Martin!
I built a "PiTunes" hard disk-based music player with mine. It's working well, and delivers a lot of performance for the money I spent on it, but needs an enclosure built for it. I'll write about it when it's complete.

I'm not fussed about media tbh - got a 2 disc NAS on gigabit which has all music/photos and films - it's the blowing up of stuff with coilguns that I want to play with
