What about ancient history? Pythagorus, Archimedes, Hero of Alexandria, etc. Rumour has it that they got their knowledge from reading even older scripts dating from over 6K years ago, detailing alchemical techniques and herbalism, medicine, etc.
Which makes me wonder what these ancient scientists and alchemists would think of our modern world...
