I have just finished replacing mosfets and redesigning the bridge with much smaller connections.

Here is the photo of the new bridge layout.

as you can see the wires are much smaller.
Tomorrow i will insert the snubbing cap as well.

Just one question.
At my shop, they have 10uF 450V AC capacitor, is that ok?

what type of capacitor in your shop???

the suggested type of capacitor is polypropelene or MKP, but MKT will do as well..
10 uf / 400 vdc rating MKT should do fine.

I don't see much difference from your previous layout- sorry, but can you use wire with insulation cover?, not like those copper wires in your picture, because they increase the chance of shorting connections unwantedly.

2 x 10uf/400v capacitors you will need. 1 capacitor per pair of mosfets.

The wire is enammeled wire, it's insulated and there is no possibility of a short.

Actually there is a lot of difference between the last layout, in fact i eliminated a lot of wire from the capacitor to the mosfets.

So, for snubbing cap i will need 10uF 400V MKT in parallel with the bridge dC?

It needs to be *close* to the bridge. Physically short wiring is key for good snubbing.

=>much better if MKP, but MKT will suffice.

Hello everyone.

I have a capacitor, it's a AC 450V 10uF, one usually used in the air conditioners to start motors, and other stuffs like that.
Will it do?
Photo Link2 (sorry for bad quality, photo made by cellphone)
I don't think this is going to work, but since i had it laying around, i think that ask about it it's a nice way to find out.
Thanks.
