When I used he term flux walking I used it just to better explain dc blocking. It's main purpose is to limit energy per cycle, so yes, prevents things getting out of hand like mosfets exploding. Flux walking is a term mainly applied to ferrite cores where dc current saturates them.

So is a series capacitor still required when operating an H bridge at a fixed frequency?

I was thinking of using a series resonant cap in my proposed H bridge, but I'd like a greater understanding of the subject.

The DC blocking capacitor is really just insurance. The DC resistance of the primary coil is very low, so even a slight asymmetry in the duty cycle of the drive will cause a large unwanted DC current to flow.

And with the feedback drivers that people commonly use for their SSTCs, there's nothing to stop the duty cycle straying far away from 50% except luck. So I think the DC block capacitor is a wise investment to keep the thing in one piece.

That applies to air-cored coils. With ferrite-cored transformers, the DC component can saturate the core leading to an even more spectacular failure, which is what people are usually thinking of when they talk about "flux walking".

Hello everyone.
Thanks for the answers, they've really helped me.
Now i have another question
According to this Link2 diagram, i need those diodes MUR1560, but since they are hard to find (hongkong, cina tailandia) So i was wondering, are they that fondamental? I can't do without them?
or, can i replace with something?

i believe they are rather important, if your going to replace them, i would just look for ones with simler stats and ultrafast diodes
