Hello all! This is my first post on this beautiful forum! I live in central part of siberia and go in for TC building. Let introduce one of my first humble mini SGTC. It was made in last summer.

Technical data:

Prim.coil: 2,5 turn of copper pipe (D=6mm) on framework of 220mm diameter.
Sec.coil: 1944 turn (wire d=0,18mm) on plastic pipe of 50mm diameter.
Toroid: sphere of 53mm diameter.
Frequency: LC-resonance (of sec.coil) is 380,34kHz.
MMC: 18800pF/ 12kV of ceramics capacitors.
Spark gap: static
HV transformer: an old russian NST without magnetic shunts. 220V/ 10kV, 100mA (on short circuit).

mini SGTC, running from 12V with flyback circuit (2n3055) and HV transformer from CRT,
resonance is somewhere between 1-2MHz
resonant capacitors are 3,13nF (i think) at 6kV
sparks are 1.5 cm long, but need a little bit of tweaking spark gap,
sparks are not getting to air by themselfs, but perfecly fly to human objeck (like me :), and beautiful corona is around toroid (but i am not able to capture it because of my photocamera)

Hello all! Fortunately, the building of my touring SGTC is coming to the end, and now I can show some pictures.

Technical data:

Prim.coil: 8 turn of copper pipe (D=16mm) 670 mm external diameter.
Sec.coil: 2000 turn (wire d=0,4mm) on carton pipe of 130mm diameter.(height 900mm)
Toroid: 380mm external diameter of vent duct 150мм diameter.
Frequency: LC resonance (of sec.coil) is 108,76kHz.
MMC: ceramics capacitors stack 117,5nF/ 12kV.
Spark gap: custom construction RSG. BPS(max.)=1466 Hz.
HV power supply: double-MOT stack.
Streamers length: approximately (average) 1,2…1,3m/ (max.) 1,5…1,8m.

My small VTTC, constructed one year ago. It is small, but gives 22-23 cm of a spark. Tube GK-71 (125w on the plate)
Secondary coil: 900 turn (wire 0,224mm) on PVC of 50mm diameter (height 220mm).
Primary is 22 turns of 0.7мм wire, feedback 20 turns.
MMC = 330 pf of ceramic caps
One MOT without voltage doubler

I think I posted this in another thread but I though I would put it here also. This is my twin bipolar coil. I don't have a still camera at the moment so I'm posting a video. Specs are listed in the video details.

This is my first Tesla coil and I`m improving as I go.

2 MOTs in series for ~4200V.
1 MOT with the secondary shorted for ballast.
Single static gap quenched by a powerful blower.
16nF MMC.
~1000 turns on the secondary, I forget the gauge but about 4 turns/mm.
Aluminium duct toroid on top of two Balti dishes covered with foil.

I made the mistake of winding a widely spaced spiral for the top 10cm or so and had to resort to covering it with foil to cure persistent problems with break-out (which worked very well).

Next up; more capacitors and voltage doubler.

Kaizer SGTC I

My first Tesla coil is a flyback driven SGTC able of delivering 105mm(4") sparks to grounded wire.

PSU: 20kV single transistor flyback driver at 12-17Vdc
Secondary: 800T 0.127mm(AWG36) on a 50mm(2") diameter form, 110mm(4,33") tall
Primary: 6.6T 1.75mm(AWG13-14) flat coil, inner diameter 90mm(3,5"), outer diameter 180mm(7")
Capacitor: a single 8nF 20kV doorknob, an old Fribourg Condensateurs from 1961
Topload: 60mm(2,36") diameter tennis ball wrapped in aluminum foil
Spark gap: static with tungsten rods
Resonant frequency: 655kHz

Construction details and further pictures at: Link2
