Not too many unfortunately, but the open access world is a testing ground for potential new customers.
I want to play more, it's just setting aside time now. I've met some new people since returning to Texas who are very interested in minecraft so I may set aside more time, but we'll see.

4HV has a server!? Have you guys looked into the FTB modpack? It has logic gates, power circuits, and high voltage! I ran a tekkit server (depreciated, replaced by FTB) at my engineering college and a bunch of engineers with a new tech tree in minecraft gets amazing. 4HV user Goodchild was on our server and he made a 5 story nuclear powered factory!

This makes me wunder how manny other minecraft players are there on 4hv that dont even know we have a server? maby all the server needs is some more publicity.

I know someone here who is into Minecraft.

Had no idea it was possible to run circuit simulators on it, this opens up all sorts of possibilities.
If the laws of physics can be also copied across then it allows simulation of items like Tesla Coils and suchlike without actually building them... smile

I've been out of minecraft recently due to computer rebuild (in project forum), and time for admin work (I think I'm one RB behind bukkit still).
But if people still want to try a Modpack server, I can setup a VM that I can allow some of the regulars access to for managing the server. It would be given a dedicated IP address from the main server.
If people are interested PM me.

As for simulating Tesla Coils, I don't know how far in depth the electrical mod packs go but that would be awesome!

Hmm there currently aren't any mods that can simulate actual real life circuits (maby someone will make one one day) but there is a tesla coil well its not a tesla coil as you and I know it it is a block that when powerd will kill nearby entitys with bolts of energy :)

server has been updated to CraftBukkit 1.4.7-R1.0

I have been talking with some people and will be setting up VMs for running other types of servers. These will be up in a week or so.

Also, at the end of the month I will be moving the server to a new facility, and upgrading the current 2x Dual-Core Xeons to 2x Quad Core Xeons.

I went on the server a few times, and I'm getting the same kind of lag I mentioned a while ago. It's bearable, but it makes movement and block placement/breaking rather sluggish. But I can't verify this again because the server seems to be offline at the moment.

I noticed that the MySQL database that logs block changes was not configured to start before the server was (new machine, could have thrown off an init.d script or something).
Try it now.

Also, noticed that one of the domains (nyancat.nom.co) is having issues resolving. Try the other domain, gawsolutions.us
Or use the IP address: 108.60.194.42

-Jimmy

EDIT: nyancat.nom.co is resolving now. Not sure what was up with that. I'll add the IP address to the main post if people have trouble with the domains. I'm starting to think my DNS service is getting spotty, I may run my own DNS server in the end.
