I actually realized that they updated the mini-speedtest app, and it no longer includes Ping angry

Are you still getting huge lag? I seem to be getting about 500ms here near D.C., but I'm a cellular based network connection that tacks on an additional 250-350ms or so just by its nature.

There isn't too much I can do if it is network related, I'm already on the top tier of connection I can reasonably afford (100 MB up/down carrier neutral).

I'll still be keeping an eye on my machine to see if I notice anything.

Interesting... the ping is now down to about 250 ms, but the lag is still there

I'm about a 35 minute drive away from DC (in reasonable traffic conditions). But I understand if you can't do anything about the lag. Besides, it could very well be a problem on my end.

It could be latency from your provider, do you have another source you can check latency against? Normally I'd tell people to use speedtest, but it seems that sometimes networks suddenly "work better' when going to their site (at least mine does). That was part of the reason I hosted my own, but now it can no longer measure ping :P

Anyways, I'd be glad to help if you can think of something. I'm actually going to hop on a bit before the hurricane hits me. If you want, let me know when you're on and I can at least try to monitor the server while playing, maybe something can be done on my end. But I need players to do that.

When the Braftbukkit releases for 1.4.2 become fully stable, and plugins are compatible.

I would like to participate in the community project the only thing is my internet is highly unreliable right now (currently trying to get it fixed) so I don't won't to commit to something I might not be able to finish but I will give it a go last I checked the lag wasn't to unbearable

Glad to have another on board. Now that we've gotten a at least a few people interested maybe we can start brainstorming. And no problem about a commitment at this stage. I'm personally still trying to finish quadrant one of my current project (which may end up being a large part of this project)

On another note, I'm looking for feedback on my current project in the creative world. I'm making a lot more progress, right now I'm stuck on a piston and stone generator combination for making a shield automatically deploy to protect from the TNT cannon fire. (The logic is on the back side of the structure). Think you (or anybody) could lend a hand? I should be free all this weekend, and a chunk of this week since my big penetration test at work got pushed back.

For a faster response than PM, I can be emailed at **link** (I don't care about hiding that email. Once I started the business I lost real anonymity)

-Jimmy

P.S: you're on the server already, right? If not email/PM me.

I actually got it working today. made a lot of progress with smcerm and brandon3055.

spent a lot of time color coding all of the red stone. Feel free to take a look if you want. Just be careful of setting off traps etc, each one has to be reset.
