Those pole pigs are great for big fiery sparks in a Jacobs ladder like that, but you need to make sure those electrodes don't ever come lose when in use. I support them at the top so they can never accidentally fall over. A couple of copper straps near the top on insulators mounted to a back plate will hold them in place and they will stay put. They also get really hot especially at the point where the spark starts, I have gotten stainless rod red hot albeit with a really nice looking flame arc...:)
So be careful with your new found toy and take precautions they are really unforgiving and it only takes one mistake... but I have to agree they are fun!
